What would make you quit using a forum software?

What would have to happen to make you not want to use forum software anymore?

Have you ever left a forum software? Did you ever return to it?

Lack of support, poor ecosystem, very high price, poor development activity

I left SMF back in 2012. Not planning to go back.

That's pretty much why I left MyBB.

I left PhpBB because addons took forever to install (everything was manual) but that was version 2. I'd hope the newer versions are automated.

Do you know what improvements were supposed to be made?

The whole UX is going to change. The new Chameleon default theme.

It would be an upgrade from Windows 95 to Windows 11.

I've said a few times but I left Tapatalk because of how awful it was from a user perspective and the fact they added Adverts and made you pay to remove them each month. It really affected my user base as they hated Tapatalk, we had to leave otherwise it would have been the end of my forum.
