I've got the new version of SMF downloaded... and honestly.. phpBB is SO dated it's ridiculous. I'm hoping the SMF install will be fresher... I have to set up an MTA for sending email before I get too much into it.
I'm going to play with MailerSend for the transaction email on it.... and looking at bringing my pipe site back up under it.... if I don't decide to bend over and fork more money over to IPS since my old site was based upon that script.

Now that SMF is responsive to mobile devices, if you get the right theme or make the right one yourself, I feel like you can have a lot of luck with it.
I should reinstall it and play with it a little bit more.
