Do any of you use short-form video marketing tactics for your community?

Expert marketer, Gary Vee says we should be posting a video on TikTok 4 times a day.

I tried doing this as an experiment (not for a forum) and as a result, I was getting quite a bit of traffic.

I noticed my youtube shorts might get 2,000 views in 24 hours where my long-form videos will get about 250 views.

It might be ideal to create a bunch of short-form video content with your forum linked to it somehow and then repurpose the video content on platforms where short-form video is hot like TT, IG, and YT.

What do you all think about this strategy?

I should. Working on the backend.

I would say that it is worth it now as short-form does very well compared to long-form in my experience. I am also sitting back and wondering how much more beneficial short term will be as AI scrape all of our data and present it to users without sending that user to your site, videos are not immune to this, but they stand on a much better platform for dealing with AI in this sense.

Hasn't been beneficial at all for me personally at least anyways.

It will be interesting to see how AI works with video.

I wonder if AI scraping will make online communities start switching over to private if they suffer losses?

I'd say this is unlikely as generally, forums do not provide information that is not available elsewhere on the web. If the information is going to be in the AI's database anyway, hiding your input on that data really just removes your chance to be added as source material.
