Have any of you tried making your own game with programming languages?

I'm especially interested in games made with the newer versions of HTML.

I can't code my way out of a paper bag, but I know my dad has made games through programming. I forget what language he did.

That said, I want to learn a few languages commonly used in game development. I at least want to make plugins for my projects, if nothing else.

In 2022, it's easy for you to start learning today

And free!

Oh, I've used these kinds of learning sites. In fact, my web design class in high school was run off W3Schools! I just, um... Tend to blow things up when I code. So I'm always anxious about it.

Now that we have this topic, I will try to make one. Will share the progress ( if anything happens ;) )

That's the best way to learn anything.
Break it and figure out what broke it and how to fix it one step at a time

I might give it a shot, too. But I'm going to go old school and do a text-based game using HTML.

I mean I put a plugin into a forum and no one could access the administration panel afterwards. :'D
