In the internet marketing world, especially around the topic of brands, we strive to build communities.

A community builds loyal relationships, trust, and easier conversion rates.

But with a forum, we automatically assume we've made a community just by launching.

But that isn't always the case...

A community isn't just software installed on a server... It's people who care about one other and feel like they all belong to what powers the platform.

So is your forum just a forum or have you built an actually community with the community?

I'm fairly confident I can say that as I've still got members who registered twenty years ago posting that it's a community which I'm very proud of.

If you have active members on your forum from 20 years ago, I think you have definitely achieved a community status!

There won't be many forums still around after that amount of time! Feel very lucky from that point of view.

I'd feel proud of that for sure!

I hope to see that come about on this forum.

Even if forums keep declining and only some exist. I'll take a small tight-knit community if that's all I can get :)
