Have you ever had a forum take off from the start?

I just recently launched a forum in a niche that I once had a very large forum in. And in 24 hours, I got over 50 legit registration. I predict I will have over 100 by next week.

That's pretty cool. Used to have a lot of forums back in the day, one women only community took off pretty nicely. I did sell it for few thousand bucks, which was a good deal for me back then. Right now I am not that interested in seeing my forum take off too much, just want to play with xenforo and styling, if any clients would want such services. And to build a decent community around.

I totally get that.

While I welcome my forums to take off as that recent one did, I'm always completely willing to wait if needed. I want to community to naturally grow on its own.
