Have you ever messed around with forum software development at all?

I really wanted to. But never got close enough.

Not anymore though. It needs a lot of time and work and I do not think it is easy to take on the big names in play now. Maybe give it away for free, but why?

I wanted to at one time. I just don't have the time to sit down and learn how to code.

I nurtured the idea for a long time. Like building a team and getting the work done. But it never materialised.

I've built a forum, running live (no visitors, but not looking to promote).

It is a lot of work, from the features to the security considerations, and the amount of work needed to clean up after development.
