Are any of you promoting your forum using Reddit?

I've always been apprehensive of using Reddit to promote my forum because I feel like it's too spammy.

What do you think?

For those of you do promote through Reddit, in what ways to you keep it from looking like you're spamming?

And how often does Reddit promoting actually convert into forum membership? Is it really even worth it?

Luckily in the astronomy/astrophotography ones I use, I simply post and then will either link to the few articles I have if the discussion is about that, or link to the images that I have. Have gotten a few Reddit users that way as it takes them to the site to see the image then they get curious.

I know nothing about Reddit so getting into advertisement would be hugely difficult for me, I would probably need somebody else to do it.

That's a good idea.

I suppose I could do that for this forum with my articles.

I could do it with my hiking brand too.

It's an "easy" way to get around a lot of sites "thou shall not post other sites here" rules. Simply link to the images/articles. :devilish:
