What are the reasons why you would decide to go into a partnership business set up with your forum? I would say that if you're new to the project, it's better to start out with a partner who's well grounded already because he's knowledge in the industry would be very helpful for your new forum growth. Unless you have an issue with working with a partner, I believe it to be a good business decision.

Partners are good if you can find the right one and mutually contribute from the start.

In my experience with forums, a partner wants to just be in charge more so than actually contribute.

I'm not saying that is everyone, though, but it is why I prefer to go solo with my business ventures.
