Many new forums starting out lack new topics. This is often because new forum owners expect other members to post new topics, and they never do.

In most cases, the forum owner needs to be the one posting the majority of the new topics.

I know I do that on my own forums, and I'm fine with that.

You probably do too.

But what are you doing to encourage members to post new topics on your forum? Do you have any special strategies at all?

Topics = content

It is in abundance when it comes to themes. If you are not getting new topic ideas, you do not understand your niche well.

I probably make more threads than anybody on my forum but I do try and encourage others to do the same if the forum is in a quiet period. Doesn't always work though haha

I just keep posting new ones.

I do try to respond to ones others have posted in a timely manner.

They've taken the time to create one so I'll help make it a great topic.
