USA really did well till their match in Round of 16 against Netherlands. One of USA's best match in the World Cup tournament was against England. England got lucky because USA outplayed them.

I personally wouldn't say the USA "outplayed" England, they were better but both sides were poor really. It was easily England's worst of the tornament.
I don't think Portugal will be able to beat France so I don't think they'll make the final, i fully expect Argentina to get there though.

USA played well in the tournament. It was unfortunate that they went out at the stage where it happened, but the team did well to get to the stage where they lost out.
