Do you have a forum vision for the long-term?

What do you want to see your forum at in 3 to 5 years?

Do you think it's important to have a long-term vision for a forum?

It's very difficult for me as my forum has been around since 2002 and we've always had a small community of loyal members. I would love my forum to grow and be far bigger than it is but its a really difficult one to do. It's going to take time and money which I'm happy to do but it's got to be done with a considered approach. I think now I've moved to a paid forum platform, I'm more inclined to increase growth, definitely. I think the most important thing is that the forum is still around in 5 years as I suspect there will be thousands which aren't!

That's a good vision to have I think!

Have a mission to be around when others will probably close shop!

Only through experience I can say that! Everybody opens a forum and hopes/expect it becomes popular within a few months and it just doesn't happen that way. Takes a lot of hard work and a wee bit of luck.

At some point I want the forum to add content regularly and organically. Through visitors who joined out of interest.
