How do you feel about members posting controversial topics on a forum?

Maybe these topics are political in nature and even extreme on one side.

Maybe the topics are religious.

Maybe they're social controversies that are occurring in the world.

Do you allow these sorts of discussions in an open forum?

Why or why not? Are there stipulations if you do allow it?

Not allowed. That is one reason I am sticking to the tech niche these days. Even there, there are topics that can go nasty.

Twitter and Musk are a very bad combo these days.

Unfortunately in this new day & age, there's no more "Agree to disagree". Even if somebody DOES agree, topics can get quite nasty. I've seen that happen too often. People just aren't civil any longer towards each other. You'll always offend someone out there.
