Difficult growing YouTube channel subscribers

I have been having a very serious challenge with growing my YouTube channel for a while now. I upload contents at least 5 times in a week but my subscribers are barely 100 subscribers. I have had the channel for 6 months and it's becoming very frustrating.
How do I grow my subscribers?

Your channel is still very young.

Add that to the millions of other channels out there.

If I had a new channel and I wanted to get subscribers, I would be subscribing to and commenting on every channel directly or closely related to my own each and every day. I'd comment quality comments and my mission would be to get noticed and be liked by those seeing my comments. I'd become a regular on those channels.

And I'd do this every day that I could.
